Meet Dr. Scott VanWagner
Evidence For Chiropractic
Dr. Scott VanWagner has been practicing chiropractic since 2000, but he didn’t know until he was in an auto accident that this was the field for him.
He’d moved to Atlanta to attend medical school, and just before the Fall semester began he was in an accident which left him with whiplash. After much encouragement from a friend, he sought care from a chiropractor – and it helped! Not only was his whiplash healed, but also after only two adjustments his lifelong suffering with sports-induced asthma was nowhere to be found.
“There’s something to this!” he thought.
Dr. Scott withdrew from medical school just before classes began, applied to Life Chiropractic College in Atlanta, was accepted, and began classes that year. “I graduated from Life, with many realizations about the importance of the mind, body, spirit connection.
In Love With Glen Allen
Originally from Upstate New York, Dr. Scott moved to Glen Allen to attend the University of Richmond as an undergraduate. Later he moved to Atlanta to attend graduate school. He graduated in 2000, and moved back to Richmond to open a practice.
Opening a practice fresh out of school was challenging – especially learning how to get their name out into the community. But it was a great time of learning and affirmation that the most important thing is developing lasting relationships with patients based on making them feel comfortable and well cared for.
Their practice flourished on an all-referral basis, and he continues that tradition today in Glen Allen.
Passion | Community | Friends and Family
Tri-Ad Chiropractic contributes in the community in ways that mirror Dr. Scott’s own personal pursuits and passions. “Our practice financially supports and helps with marketing for many local marathons and triathlons throughout the year.”
Dr. Scott finds training for and participating in these events to be a great personal challenge – one where he can compete against just himself and get better. He loves the fresh air and outdoors, and has made some of his best friends in the running community. These friends are like family, and he enjoys the community aspect found there.
Dr. Scott resides in Glen Allen with his wife Angela and his two teenage sons, Hunter and Chase.
“I look forward to meeting you and building a lasting relationship.” Call (804) 270-3000 today for an appointment.
